 | To tell the truth, there is such an intensity in some of Austino's photographs that I was fully prepared to feel a little intimidated by him. I was so wrong! Austino proved to be a gentle, soft-spoken, rather elegant man, who took me by the hand when he led me to his studio. We sat on the couch for a bit while I talked about some of my issues. I never felt that I was talking to the wind, for Austino was in constant physical and/or emotional contact while I talked.
